Changes to Ellis Library Copy Services Beginning Fall Semester 2008

Ellis Library Copy Services was previously operated by the MU Libraries. At the start of the Fall Semester 2008, Ellis Library Copy Services has become a Digiprint Center and is run by University of Missouri Printing Services. Most of the services and the prices will remain the same, but customers of Ellis Library Digiprint Center will notice some changes, which are listed below:

1. Rental of both day lockers as well as the longer-term rental lockers in Ellis Library will be handled by the staff in the Administration Office, 104 Ellis Library between 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday.

2. Money from record albums sales in Recorded Sound will be collected in that unit, which is located in the northeast corner of the 4^th floor of Ellis Library.

3. The Circulation Desk will take over cash/check payments for borrower cards, lost books, charges for faculty, staff and courtesy borrowers and other transactions.

4.  Space will be available in Access Services where persons unaffiliated with MU may use items from our collections that they cannot or do not wish to check out.

5. New Digiprint services offered  include the use of recycled bond paper. In addition, there will be a larger paper inventory including colors; expanded folding and binding options; lamination; and enhanced color printing quality using a new Xerox 242 digital color printer.     

6. Ellis Library Digiprint Center will fax items for patrons but the charging structure has changed. They will send faxes for persons and receive incoming faxes for persons.  
   1. Charge for sending faxes: $1.50 per page. No charge for cover sheet.

   2. Charge for receiving faxes: $.75 per page. Faxes will be kept for 14 days.

7. Printing Services will continue to offer space for the MU Libraries Staff Association Book Sale.

8. The typewriter that was available in Copy Services will now be available at the Circulation/Reserve desk for persons to use for a short period of time. Persons should bring their own supplies.  

9. Printouts from computers in the Information Commons that are not paid from students allotments may be picked up and paid for at the Ellis Circulation/Reserve Desk. Cash, checks and MOCode charges will be accepted as payment. Persons using MOCodes should bring those at the time of pickup of documents.
